UNICEM NIGERIA (PROJECT DRAWING SUPERINTENDENT)

Job description
The Project Drawing Superintendent’s primary objective is to prepare, review, update and make accessible all the technical reference and working documents that will be used in the Plant. The incumbent will also ensure proper custody of the documents and that filing and access systems used are fully compatible with current industry best practices.

One Year Renewable Contract.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
The PDS will ensure all flow sheets and charts are reviewed and updated to reflect the actual situation in the plant.
Support the engineering team to put ideas and concepts into working drawings.
Ensure the development and implementation of working documents that will be required in the plant.
Ensure all plant changes and modifications are captured and relevant drawings updated accordingly
Ensure completeness and accuracy of the equipment files and history. 
Keep current the Equipment Parts Catalog on each piece of existing equipment and develop parts lists for new equipment installations.
Create and implement organized systems for information management for the plant setting. 

Constantly looking for new methods of operation which will improve equipment reliability, improve expected life span of equipment and reduce maintenance cost.  

Desired Skills and Experience
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
A good degree B.Sc/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
5 years draughtsman hands-on experience in industry.
Possess a good knowledge of two and three dimensional drawings/AutoCAD and certification required
Proficiency in the use of Auto-Desk applications 

COMPETENCIES/BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENTS:
Should understand the instruction of the employers and suggest changes or alterations that are to be included in a project along with the engineers.
Should be organized while performing the duties.
Ability to cooperate with engineers and or others people of the department
Should have passion to work beyond regular hours, psychological attachment to the job and be able take on more challenges.
Should have an eye for details while preparing the sketches.
Possess excellent logical reasoning.
Ability to read and interpret Civil, Architectural and Electrical drawings will be an added advantage
